Step through your own private entrance into a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, perfect for relaxed meals after a day exploring. The comfortable lounge opens through patio doors straight onto your private garden, where sun loungers, a dining table, and a BBQ are waiting for you. A beautifully fitted bathroom completes the ground floor.

Upstairs, the generous bedroom is a calm, restful space with quality bedding, a wardrobe, and bedside tables—designated for the kind of sleep you only get when life properly slows down.

Outside, your driveway gives easy parking, and the hamlet’s peaceful setting means the only traffic you’re likely to hear is birdsong.

On Your Doorstep

The Charente is one of France’s best-kept secrets — all the beauty of Provence and the Dordogne, with a fraction of the crowds.

From your front door, you can walk or cycle into rolling countryside along signposted routes. The historic town of Verteuil-sur-Charente, with its striking chateau and riverside restaurants, is a short drive away. The grand Chateau de La Rochefoucauld, the cognac houses of Cognac, and the cobbled streets of Poitiers are all within easy reach for a day out.

Closer to home, you’ll find peaceful swimming spots, local markets, and excellent restaurants serving the produce the region is famous for. Nature lovers will find hoopoes, golden orioles, and an extraordinary variety of butterflies right in the garden and surrounding fields.
